MLB Sports Betting Picks: Milwaukee Brewers vs. LA Dodgers
MLB Sports Betting Picks: Milwaukee Brewers vs. LA Dodgers Milwaukee (19-21) capped a 5-1 homestand with a 9-6 win over Pittsburgh on Sunday, sweeping three games from the Pirates. The Brewers hit .312 during the homestand - similar to their .305 mark for the season which has helped them go 13-6 at Miller Park.

They haven’t been nearly as productive on the road, where they’re a major league-worst 6-15 and batting .218. Milwaukee has been even worse in its last nine away from home, losing eight of them while batting .170 and averaging 1.3 runs.

Braun, the NL home run leader with 12, is 7 for 19 with two homers and 10 RBIs over the last five games.

However, Braun is 3 for 29 with no homers or RBIs in eight road games this month, dropping his average away from home from .388 to .282. He’ll try to get well in Los Angeles (19-22), where he’s a .472 lifetime batter with at least one hit in all eight games he’s played. He has four doubles, one triple, two homers and 12 RBIs at Chavez Ravine.

Shaun Marcum (4-1, 2.72 ERA) takes the mound for Milwaukee looking to continue his own success versus the Dodgers. The right-hander is 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA in his last two starts against them, but hasn’t faced them since 2007, when he was with Toronto.

Marcum has impressed in his first season with Milwaukee, owning the club’s lowest qualifying ERA and a team-high 50 strikeouts. He’s 4-0 with a 2.40 ERA in seven starts since losing his Brewers debut at Cincinnati on April 2.

While the Brewers have struggled on the road, the Dodgers are quite beatable at home. They’ve dropped six of their last eight at Chavez Ravine, batting .198 in that span to fall to 10-11 at home on the season.

They lost the last two of a three-game weekend series with Arizona, falling 4-1 on Sunday.

Mattingly will give the ball to Jon Garland (1-2, 3.66), who is 0-1 despite a 3.32 ERA over his last three starts.

Garland’s latest effort was erased by rain Thursday, as he threw two hitless innings at Pittsburgh before the game was postponed. His previous outing came in a 4-2 loss at New York on May 7, when he yielded two runs in six innings. The right-hander has won his last two starts versus the Brewers, allowing two runs over 12 1-3 innings.

Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier, who had a 30-game hitting streak halted earlier this month, is 0 for 7 in his last two games and 1 for 11 in his last three. He’s batting .340 with four homers and 12 RBIs in 13 career home meetings with Milwaukee.

The Dodgers will get the win at home behind a great start by Garland and some timely hitting.
