MLB Betting Series Preview: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles
MLB Betting Series Preview: Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore OriolesThe Toronto Blue Jays vs. Baltimore Orioles series will begin on Friday June 3rd. The Orioles return from a west coast trip to begin play within the American league. The Toronto Blue Jays will attempt to recover after getting shelled in their last home game against the Cleveland Indians.

This MLB Baseball Series Preview will cover the starting pitchers for the series and some betting trends to include a MLB series prediction.

The latest MLB Baseball Odds could have the Orioles to win this series as they have home field advantage in this divisional matchup.

Toronto dominated the O's in 2010, winning the season series, 15-3. The only Baltimore victories came from a home sweep in August. The 12 runs the Blue Jays gave up in three innings on Wednesday were the most they had given up in any game this year. The Blue Jays will have one of the leading vote getters for the upcoming All-Star game in this series.

Outfielder Jose Bautista now leads the League in All-Star voting, as well as home runs. The 30-year-old, who is batting .363 with 20 home runs and 38 RBIs, has received 1,261,659 votes and is one of only two players to garner more than a million votes after the first round of balloting. He would become the first Blue Jay voted into an All-Star Game since Carlos Delgado in 2003.

In game one Carlos Villanueva will look to bounce back from a disappointing outing against the White Sox. He allowed six runs on eight hits in his second start of the season. He was promoted from the bullpen to fill in for injured right-hander Jesse Litsch.

On the other side of the diamond the orioles will start Zach Britton had his worst outing of the season in Sunday's loss at Oakland. The 23-year-old lefty, who is considered one of the early frontrunners for the AL Rookie of the Year Award, allowed a career-high six runs on 10 hits over 5 2/3 innings.

In game two of the series, Ricky Romero will get the nod for the Blue Jays. His opposition on the mound for the Orioles will be Jake Arrieta who is in the middle of an impressive campaign.

In game three, hard luck pitcher Jo-Jo Reyes will attempt to get in the win column, but he will have to defeat one of the Orioles best pitchers in Jeremy Guthrie. The pitching matchup in this series will favor the home team, but with two great offenses, anything can happen when these teams take the field.

The Major League Baseball sports betting trends favor the road team in this game as the Blue Jays are 35-16 in the last 51 meetings. It is also interesting to note that the under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings in Baltimore.

The Orioles should catch the Blue Jays in a good spots especially with the return of Britton. The edge in pitching and the home field will give the Orioles the win in the series. The Jays have played well offensively of late, but when it comes to pitching they have struggled.

The bullpen has not been able to hold on to leads and that will haunt them again when they play the Orioles. Baltimore has the potential to sweep the Jays in this series.
