MLB Picks, Predictions and Pitching Matchups for Thursday July 7th
MLB Picks, Predictions and Pitching Matchups for Thursday July 7thThe Major League Baseball Schedule for Thursday is jam packed with a great slate of game. Betting on baseball is always better when there is more to choose from.

Here are three great picks for the big card on Thursday. To see yesterday’s results, click here.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers

After a grueling series with the St. Louis Cardinals, the Cincinnati Reds will try and make up ground when they go up against the struggling Milwaukee Brewers.

Facing the Indians on Saturday, Homer Bailey allowed three runs (two earned) on eight hits in seven innings while providing his first quality start since May 21 after spending much of the time in between on the disabled list. He gets the start in game one and will face Chris Narveson.

Narveson is coming off a start in Minnesota that was almost historically bad, a seven-run, 14-hit dud. It marked only the 11th time in Brewers history that a pitcher surrendered 14 hits or more, and the first time since 1995.

The Reds are 22-5 in the last 27 meetings against the Brewers, 4-0 in Baileys last four starts against the Brewers, and 9-3 in the last 12 meetings in Milwaukee.

The Reds get back on the winning track against the Brewers.

Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox

Once upon a time, the Minnesota Twins were left for dead, but as they head towards the All-Star break, the Twins are showing signs of life.

Carl Pavano kept the Twins in the game against the Brewers, allowing four runs (three earned) on eight hits over 7 2/3 innings, but closer Matt Capps blew a three-run lead to rob Pavano of a win. Pavano has a 3.57 ERA in 10 career starts vs. Chicago.

Phil Humber will make his final start of an unbelievably successful first half in search of his seventh win in eight decisions. He has 13 quality starts in 16 trips to the mound and has given up more than two runs just once in his last five starts.

If the Twins seem to have success against one team, it’s the White Sox. The Twins are 35-16 in the last 51 meetings, 13-3 in the last 16 meetings in Chicago, and 4-1 in Pavanos last 5 starts against the White Sox.

The Twins get the jump on Humber early and put up enough runs to support Pavano. Pavano will continue his success against the White Sox and the Twins will win game one.
