Betting on who is going to win the MVP of the World Series is both a fun and profitable exercise and with this years Fall Classic being wide open there is tremendous value out there. Whether you think the Yanks have this in the bag or the Phillies will repeat, there are great bets on both sides of the coin and I am going to take a look at a few players from each team that I think have the best dollar for dollar value to win the award. Keep in mind that 92% of the time the award as gone to the team that has won the World Series so you need to wager on a player from the team you truly think is going to win it all this year

YANKEES-

A-ROD +$500- This is a no-brainer if you think the Yanks are going to win. A Rod hadn't' produced in the postseason since he was in little league until this year and if the Yankees win it all there is a very strong chance it will be cause of his bat. You are not getting great dollar value , but it is one of the safest and smartest bets you can make

DEREK JETER +$650- The Captain once again will make a case for Mr October/November and if the Yanks win you know he will be right in the middle of it. Jeter is the most clutch Yankee in the postseason since Mr October himself Reggie Jackson and has been hot since the playoffs began.

CC SABATHIA +$650- CC has been almost unhitable and is now on the biggest stage of his life. If The Yankees win it all it is likely he will have at least two wins and could have a third in a potential game seven. Not the best value , but a decent play if you think a pitcher is going to win the award for the Yanks as I can't see any other hurler pulling it off for NY.

PHILLIES

CLIFF LEE +$1200- He has been the heart and soul of the Phillies and could have won the NLCS MVP save Ryan Howard going bonkers. Just like CC Sabbathia for the Yankees if the Phillies win it all Lee would likely have at least two wins in the effort. If you think the Phils are going to repeat Lee is a steal at +$1200

RYAN HOWARD +$650- Howard has been sizzling like a piece of tasty bacon during the postseason and already has a NLCS MVP honor this year. Howard has been the Phils most clutch hitter and an absolute RBI machine. Your not getting a ton of money on your wager, but Howard's bat should stay hot against Yankee pitching and I can't see him not being a big part of a Philly win

SHANE VICTORINO +$1500- Victorino is a long shot to win this award , but the guy just gets it done no matter how ugly or pretty . You just have a feeling if the Phillies repeat as champions this guy is going to make some huge play in the field or hit some absurd Home Run to win a game or save a game against NY. A true wild card , but for the money you get with him two words come to mind.WHY NOT!!
