Syracuse Orangemen Look To Stop Big East Losing Skid Against The Connecticut Huskies
Syracuse Orangemen Look To Stop Big East Losing Skid Against The Connecticut HuskiesSyracuse is considered one of the best teams in the country and a national title contender. However tier recent play would suggest otherwise. They are currently on a four game conference losing streak and will try to get back on the winning track against the No. 6 Connecticut Huskies.

Syracuse started off with a 18-0 record and mountains of praise, but since have fallen to 18-4 overall and 5-4 in the Big East. The last four straight losses included tough losses to ranked teams such as Villanova and Pittsburgh, and downright unforgivable losses to Seton Hall at home by double digits. Syracuse is having trouble defending the ball, which is out of the ordinary for this well coached club.

In Syracuse’s four losses, opponents shot 51 percent to include an above average shooting night by the Golden Eagles in their last loss. Marquette shot 54 percent to start the game and they never looked back finishing with a 52 percent mark on the game.

Connecticut is off a loss to the Louisville Cardinal in a game they could have easily won. The Cardinals dominated the Huskies with the pick-and-roll, and converted for easy baskets throughout the night. The Huskies are powered by junior guard Kemba Walker who is having an outstanding season, but he cannot do it on his own.

The Orange are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 road games against a team with a home winning percentage of greater than .600 and 6-1 ATS in their last seven Wednesday games.

The Huskies are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following a loss and will host a desperate team in Syracuse. The Huskies play tight but eventually subside to a great defensive effort by Syracuse.
