Miami rallied from a five-point deficit in the last 40 seconds to send the game to overtime in the only regular-season meeting between the two, then won it in overtime. Virginia’s backcourt play was strong with Mustapha Farrakhan scoring 20 points and Joe Harris adding 18. Miami should have a huge advantage inside if 6-foot-10 Reggie Johnson can muster more enthusiasm for playing than he had in the regular-season finale at Georgia Tech. The Cavaliers are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games against a team with a winning record and Miami is reeling coming into this game. The Cavaliers win as Miami hopes for an invite to the N.I.T.
