| No. 12 Richmond takes on No. 13 Morehead State in a battle of Cinderella’s |
BetPhoenix is the best online sportsbook to wager on the College Basketball and they have the latest odds on this and all other games on the schedule. Morehead State got the first major upset of the 2011 NCAA Tournament, making a three-pointer with less than five seconds to play to stun fourth-seeded Louisville, 62-61. Senior F Kenneth Faried had an unusually tough shooting night against Louisville. Shooting 64.4 for the season, he made just four of his 17 attempts against the Cardinals, but he grabbed 17 rebounds. Although he did not score as much as he would have liked, he was still an intimidating presence down low. The Spiders of Richmond advanced in similar fashion by slipping past fifth-seeded Vanderbilt at the wire. This will be a great game to watch for those who value rebounding, since the Spiders are excellent on the boards and senior forward Kenneth Faried is the best rebounder in the country. Kevin Anderson is the guy who makes the Richmond offense go and will be a huge challenge for the Eagles perimeter players. Everything the Eagles do is built around Faried, who’s improved offensively but still controls games with defense and rebounding. Faried scored 17.6 points and grabbed a nation-best 14.5 rebounds per game while also averaging more than two steals and two blocked shots per game. Coach Donnie Tyndall surrounds Faried with three and sometimes four guards, who can all sink the three. This will be too much for the Spiders to handle and the clock will strike midnight for the Richmond Spiders. Morehead State continues their improbable run. Play on Morehead State
