The Oklahoma City Thunder and the Portland Blazers Meet in a Track Meet
The Struggling Hawks visit the New Jersey Nets trying to get back on the winning trackThe Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Blazers are two of the youngest and most exciting teams to watch in the NBA. When these two teams take to the floor this weekend, it will translate into great basketball.

Portland's frontcourt starters—C LaMarcus Aldridge with F Gerald Wallace and F Nicolas Batum—gave their Washington counterparts a pounding, outscoring them 72-24 and outrebounding them 26-14. This could provide for a tough matchup against the Thunder, who overall are not very big down low.

However if the Thunder play against Portland like they did against the Utah Jazz, it could be an easy win for the home team. Russell Westbrook (31 points) and Kevin Durant (29) were too much Wednesday night for visiting Utah, as Oklahoma City bounced back from a rare loss this month. Serge Ibaka, Nazr Mohammed and James also had solid outings for the Thunder. Oklahoma City's last six wins have been by double-figures.

The Thunder followed up another loss with a win Wednesday over Utah, a trend that's been consistent throughout the season. Oklahoma City is 18-5 in games played immediately after a loss. Now they want to build off that win and others and start a winning streak that will maneuver them into the right position for the playoffs as the regular season winds down.

The Thunder claimed the season series against Northwest Division rival 3-3-1 with Wednesday's win. Oklahoma City split the two games at home and won both in Salt Lake City.

The Thunder's record in March improved to 10-2, the third month with double-figure wins this season. Oklahoma City also did it in November and December.

The Thunder will stay on the winning track and use their new sixe to beat the Portland Blazers.
