The Creighton Bluejays try to win the CBI Tournament against the Oregon DucksThe Creighton are Bluejays are just one win away from the CBI tournament title. With the win against Oregon in the first game of the three game set, the Bluejays can win the title with a victory in Oregon.

Doug McDermott scored 21 points en route to an 84-76 victory over Oregon in Game 1 on the CBI championship series at the Qwest Center Omaha on Monday night. McDermott scored nine straight points in a 12-0 run that gave the Bluejays a 58-41 lead four minutes into the second half. The Ducks got no closer than four points the rest of the way.

The Ducks did not play badly in game one at Creighton, but it was not enough to take down the Jays. The Ducks had five players score in double figures (Catron 15 pts, Sim 14 pts, Strowbridge 14 pts, Singler 10 pts, Loyd 10 pts), the first time since UO’s Dec. 11 home win over Willamette (a game UO had six players in double figures). Oregon dropped to 4-17 on the year when the opponent shoots for a better percentage. UO is now 6-14 on the season when out-rebounded, and 4-14 this season when trailing at the half.

The Ducks will try and do their best to stop the Jays and force a game three, but all of the sports betting trends are in favor of the Jays.

The Bluejays are 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a win against the number, 12-4 ATS in their last 16 road games against a team with a winning home record, and 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games overall.

Creighton wins again for a series sweep and wins the CBI title.
