Brandon Jennings was angry he failed to hit a wide-open shot that would’ve won it at the regulation buzzer. The Milwaukee guard then left the Philadelphia 76ers red in the face in overtime.

Jennings scored nine of his 13 points in overtime and Milwaukee rallied to beat the Sixers 93-87 on Saturday night to keep its faint playoff hopes alive and snap Philadelphia’s winning streak at three.

Milwaukee is 3 1/2 games behind Indiana for eighth place in the Eastern Conference, and the Bucks are talking about playing well—not the playoffs— with six games left.

Jennings scored nine points in overtime, including a running layup with 26.1 seconds left, as the Bucks beat the 76ers on Saturday night at the Bradley Center. Jennings had gone 0-for-7 from the field in regulation. John Salmons led the Bucks in scoring with 19 points, hitting on 8-of-11 shots from the field. The victory moved the Bucks to 3 1/2 games behind the Pacers for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Bucks have six games remaining.

Bucks coach Scott Skiles said before Saturday night's game against the 76ers that he had a lengthy discussion with point guard Brandon Jennings about the latter's critical comments about the team. Jennings said some of his teammates weren't concerned about winning and questioned some of the team's offseason moves. Skiles wouldn't go into details of his conversation with Jennings but said they were inappropriate.

The talk seemed to work well and the Bucks are playing better basketball.
