| The New Jersey Nets Look for Revenge Against the New York Knicks |
BetPhoenix is the best online sportsbook to wager on the NBA and they have the latest odds on this and all other games on the schedule. The goal, once a team clinches a playoff berth, is to finish the regular season with momentum and carry that into the playoffs. The fear is that a key player -- or possibly two -- could get hurt in what was basically a meaningless game. The Knicks saw two of their Big Three go down in Wednesday's win in Philadelphia, as Chauncey Billups suffered a right thigh contusion and Amar'e Stoudemire sprained his left ankle. Mike D'Antoni, however, said it won't change his philosophy in the final four games of the regular season. Billups, who had just returned to full health last week after he missed six games in early March with a deep bruise in his left thigh, said the latest injury is not as bad as the first one. Stoudemire had sprained that ankle earlier in the season but did not miss any games. He did give an indication that he may sit out Friday's game against the Nets. Aside from finishing on a high note, continuing the positive momentum of what is now a five-game winning streak and fine tuning the rotation, the Knicks really aren't playing for anything, such as first place in the Atlantic Division or home court advantage. The Knicks are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a losing record and the Nets are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. The Nets may not have gotten Anthony but they do get the win in this game.
