| The Utah Jazz Take on the top seeded San Antonio Spurs |
The Jazz will be without injured five players for its final trip of the season, a two-gamer with stops Saturday night at San Antonio and Monday night at New Orleans. Mehmet Okur has been out for some time, and fellow center Kyrylo Fesenko learned Thursday that a fractured thumb will cause him to miss the season's final three games. Combo guard Ronnie Price, shooting guard Raja Bell and small forward Andrei Kirilenko also will not travel, the team announced Thursday. The Spurs won their 60th game of the season Wednesday night over the Sacramento Kings, marking the fourth time in franchise history that they've recorded 60 wins in a season. With four games left, they can set a team record and surpass the 63 wins of the 2005-06 season. But, the real news came a few hours after the Spurs' victory. Only a few days ago it seemed as though the No. 1 seed the Spurs have maintained all season was going to go to the surging Los Angeles Lakers -- who suddenly are not. The Spurs' victory, combined with L.A.'s loss at Golden State Wednesday night, locked up the No. 1 seed for San Antonio. The Jazz are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 against the NBA Southwest and the Spurs are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 against the Western Conference. The Spurs beat down the Jazz as they prepare for a title run. Play on the SPurs Bet the NBA at BetPhoenix to get the best online gaming experience in the world.
