The minus-25 on the boards was the biggest rebounding deficit for the Sixers since they got destroyed on the glass by Michael Jordan and the Bulls, 66-32, April 7, 1997. The rebounding edge started with Howard, but wasn't limited to the chiseled center. Ryan Anderson, a leading candidate for Most Improved Player in the league, had 18 points and 14 rebounds off the bench, with half of the boards coming at the offensive end. Brandon Bass had seven rebounds. Even guard Chris Duhon cleaned seven misses off the glass. The Sixers will most likely be outrebounded when they face the Detroit Pistons. The NBA playoffs are set in the eastern conference and the Philadlephia Sixers will have little to play for when they go up against the Detroit Pistons.
