| The Memphis Grizzlies look to take a big lead in the series against the San Antonio Spurs |
BetPhoenix is the best online sportsbook to wager on the NBA and they have the latest odds on this and all other games on the schedule. The Grizzlies had an impressive win in game three. The Spurs fell behind by 13 points early in the third quarter, but managed to claw their way back into the game and take it down to the wire. But it was Memphis forward Zach Randolph, who finished with 25 points and hit a 3-pointer with 41.9 seconds left, that did in San Antonio. The Spurs shot just 41.3 percent from the floor, a percentage that was driven down by a 2-for-15 showing from beyond the 3-point arc. Manu Ginobili led the Spurs with 23 points, but he was just 5-for-12 from the field. Tony Parker's struggles continued, going 5-for-14 for 16 points. Tim Duncan was outplayed by Randolph with just 13 points in 36 minutes. George Hill was the only other Spurs player in double figures with 11 points. Marc Gasol added 17 points and nine rebounds. The look of disbelief on the face of Tony Parker at the end of Game 3 told the story. The San Antonio Spurs, the wire-to-wire champs of the regular season in the Western Conference, are in a dogfight to get out of the first round. The eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies opened the series in San Antonio with a shocking victory and are now two wins away from becoming only the second No. 8 seed to upend a No. 1 since the first round expanded to a best-of-seven format in 2003. The Golden State Warriors were the first to do it in 2007, when they beat the Dallas Mavericks in six games. The Spurs have fallen behind 2-1 in a series 12 times in franchise history. They've won just one of them. Grizzlies big man Zach Randolph sank the killer shot, a 3-pointer with 41.9 seconds to go. Spurs guard Manu Ginobili was swarmed near the sideline and couldn't get a shot off as the clock expired. Tim Duncan was trying to call timeout early and Spurs coach Gregg Popovich later said it was his fault time didn't get called so the Spurs could reset for a final 3-point attempt to tie. The Spurs have one day to figure out how to slow down the inside duo of Randolph and center Marc Gasol before Game 4 back in Memphis. That one day will not be enough and the Grizzlies will win again.
