The Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks take the fight to game five in the NBA Finals
NBA Finals Game Five: LeBron James and the Miami Heat Look For Redemption Against DallasThe NBA Finals are all tied up at two games apiece as the Mavericks won the last game. All the focus has been on LeBron James and is inability to play well in the last game. Now he has a chance to make up for it and give the Heat a lead in the series.

Dallas rallied from nine points down in the fourth quarter, clamping down on Miami defensively to tie the series 2-2. Dirk Nowitzki scored 21 points and was aided by four teammates in double figures, including Jason Terry (17 points) and DeShawn Stevenson (11) off the bench.

Dwyane Wade scored 32 for Miami, but LeBron James was held to a career-playoff-low eight points, and Chris Bosh scored just two points in the fourth quarter.

Through the first four games of the NBA Finals, LeBron James is averaging 17.3 points on 46.4 percent shooting. His numbers dipped Tuesday, when he went 3-for-11 from the floor and scored eight points. Shawn Marion believes he's doing a solid job guarding the two-time MVP.

James averaged 26 points through the first three rounds of the playoffs, but he didn't shoot 50 percent in any on those three series. James has seemed to move into more of a playmaking role in the Finals.

Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks kept their title hopes alive by pulling out a must-win game Tuesday night at American Airlines Center. The NBA Finals are tied 2-2 going into Game 5 on Thursday night in Dallas.

Nowitzki played despite a fever over more than 100 degrees. He fell ill Monday night, but he wasn't about to miss the most important game of his career.

"This is the Finals," he said. "You're going to leave it out there. Like I said earlier in the series ... it's June.

"We've been playing on a high level for eight, nine months. So everybody has a little something going, and this is the Finals. You have to go out there and compete and try your best for your team, so that's what I did."

Dallas would take control of the series by winning Game 5, but the title is going to be decided in Miami. Game 6 is Sunday, with a seventh game Tuesday night if needed.

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle tweaked the rotation in Game 4. J.J. Barea started in place of DeShawn Stevenson. Brian Cardinal was the first big man off the bench. Carlisle wanted to give Nowitzki and Shawn Marion as much rest as possible.

Carlisle, though, refused to take credit for the win.

Now the Mavericks have to answer the call if they want to win again and take a lead in the series. After this game the Mavericks head to South Beach to finish up the series. Winning here is almost a must-win for the Mavericks although the pressure maybe on James after the last performance.

The Mavericks step it up one more time and take the lead in the series.
