| The Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks Face Off in Game one of the NBA Finals |
The NBA Finals are here and the best place to bet on the big game is BetPhoenix. They have the latest NBA Finals spreads, odds, and wagering opportunities. The Heat looked as though they were about to take a controlling 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals. Wade scored 36 points but was shut out after giving Miami an 88-73 lead with 7:14 left. He took only three shots the rest of the way, all 3-pointers, and LeBron James had the ball the majority of the time down the stretch. The Mavs’ final possession began after a timeout with 24.5 seconds left and the score 93-all. The Heat had a foul to give but didn’t use it as Nowitzki drove past Bosh for a layup with 3.6 seconds to go. As for deciding against double-teaming Nowitzki: “They had carved us up enough on that,” Spoelstra said. “We left open some shooters, and they made us pay.” As the Mavericks rallied over the final 6 minutes, Spoelstra called four timeouts. The first came at 88-77, and the second at 90-86. When Nowitzki’s layup with 58 seconds remaining made it 90-all, the Heat called another timeout. Then he made a 3-pointer with 27 seconds to go, and Spoelstra called his final timeout. That left the Heat unable to stop the clock when Nowitzki scored the go-ahead basket. Wade missed a desperation 28-footer in the final second. The Heat did not attempt a free throw for the first 18:36 of Game 2, their longest stretch waiting for their first trip to the foul line in 99 regular-season and playoff games this season. Dwyane Wade got there first, getting leveled by Tyson Chandler just past the midpoint of the second quarter. He missed both. Miami played the first 12:16 of a game at Memphis on Nov. 20 without a free throw attempt, the first of those coming that night after a defensive 3-second violation. The first shooting foul the Heat drew that night came 15:06 after tip-off. Dallas had already shot 11 free throws before Miami’s first attempt of Game 2. The Heat finished with more attempts, 24-21.This is just one of the many reasons that the Heat lost control of game two and why they are now scrambling to get a win and steal back home court advantage. Jason Terry was great off the bench for the Mavericks in game three. Terry finished with 16 points, five assists, two steals and a huge smile. It was especially sweet for him to stick it to the Heat, their fans and Wade because he and Nowitzki are the only players left from the 2006 Mavs who blew the finals by losing three straight games in Miami—a meltdown that began with Dallas blowing a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter of Game 3. The momentum is clearly in the hands of the Dallas Mavericks. The series has now shifted to Dallas and this will give the Mavericks a huge edge. This is going to be one great series and the Mavericks will win game three. Play on the Dallas Mavericks
