| WNBA Preview: Seattle Storm vs. Phoenix Mercury |
The best place to wager on the WNBA is the online sportsbook BetPhoenix. The Seattle Storm are coming off their most lopsided defeat of the season, a performance marked by turnovers and sloppy defense.A matchup with the Phoenix Mercury could help them regroup. Looking to avoid a fourth loss in five games, the Storm try for a 10th straight win over the Mercury on Tuesday night at US Airways Center. Seattle (13-11) saw its eight-game home winning streak come to an end in disheartening fashion Saturday, falling 92-63 to Atlanta. The Storm trailed by one heading into the second quarter but were outscored 65-37 the rest of the way. Seattle has averaged 21.6 turnovers in its last three losses, two of which came against the Dream. Agler’s club is in fourth place in the West, three games in front of fifth-place Los Angeles and a half-game back of Phoenix (13-10) and San Antonio, who are tied for second. The Storm have done just that against the Mercury of late, taking both meetings this season and the last nine in the series - including a two-game sweep in the conference finals last year. Phoenix suffered a disheartening defeat its last time out, leading by 16 early but falling 93-90 in overtime at Los Angeles on Friday. Penny Taylor scored 29 points and Diana Taurasi added 21, but the Mercury were outrebounded 41-29 and 15-9 on the offensive boards. Taurasi leads the league with 20.9 points per game and has scored at least 20 in five straight contests - her longest such stretch since a five-game run in Sept. 2008. Seattle rebounds with a big win and defeats Phoenix. Play on Seattle
