The bad news for the Florida Gators are that they have lost twice already in their first seven games. The good news for UF is that those losses came to Ohio State and Syracuse and Billy Donovan’s team did nothing to embarrass themselves in either instance. Kenny Boynton is averaging 19 points and 3.1 assists, Bradley Beal is averaging 15.6 points and 7.0 rebounds, Erving Walker is averaging 14.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists, and Patric Young is averaging 9.6 points and 7.3 rebounds. As a team Florida is averaging 87.6 points, 17.9 assists, 41.3 offensive rebounds, and they are shooting 48.4 percent while their opponents score 66.3 points and shoot 39.9 percent. Florida looks to be a contender that has a chance to go deep into the NCAA Tournament.

Like their opponent in this one, the Arizona Wildcats have lost twice but are battle tested as Sean Miller’s team plays one of the tougher out of conference schedules. The Wildcats need to add to their resume in spots like this as when it comes to conference play the Pac-12 looks soft and won’t help them much if they wind up on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament. Solomon Hill is averaging 12.4 points and 7.8 rebounds, Jesse Perry is averaging 10.5 points and 9.1 rebounds, Kyle Fogg is averaging 11 points, and Nick Johnson is averaging 10.8 points. As a team Arizona is averaging 68 points and they are shooting just 42.5 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 62.6 points and their oppositions hoots 41.2 percent. The Cats have plenty of talent but after losing one of the best players in the nation to the NBA they will need to establish their new identity in a hurry.

The Cats will try and make this a statement game against the Gators to prove that they have enough talent to compete this year.
