The Duke Blue Devils return home to Cameron Indoor Stadium and Mike Krzyzewski’s team is highly ranked and battle tested as they play their first game in over a week. After playing nationally ranked Michigan, Kansas, and Ohio State in their last three Duke gets an easier draw but the ACC schedule looms right around the corner. Freshman Austin Rivers is averaging 15.4 points, Seth Curry is averaging 14.1 points, Mason Plumlee is averaging 12.0 points and 9.8 rebounds, and Ryan Kelly is averaging 12.8 points and 4.4 rebounds.

As a team Duke is averaging 77.4 points and they are shooting 49.2 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 69.6 points and their opponents shoot 44.6 percent. While Duke’s numbers don’t show them as an elite team when we look at who it is against, the eighth toughest schedule thus far, they are far more impressive.

The Colorado State Rams have played a reasonably tough schedule as well and Tim Miles team looks like they may be competitive in the Mountain West this year. CSU lost last time out to Northern Iowa to end a three game winning streak but they have a chance to shake things up in what would be a huge upset in this one. Wes Eikmeir is averaging 17.5 points, Dorian Green is averaging 11.4 points and 4.4 rebounds, Greg Smith is averaging 10.8 points and 5.0 rebounds, and Jesse Carr is averaging 8.8 points.

As a team Colorado State is averaging 70.9 points and they are shooting 45.7 percent from the floor while defensively they are allowing 70.6 points and their opponents shoot 45.6 percent from the floor. Defense has to be a concern for the Rams and this one will certainly test them. Duke should be able to get the win in this game but it will be interesting to see if they cover the spread.
