The Celtics still leads 3-2 but they have lost momentum in the series. Boston, when leading 3-0 in a best-of-seven series, had closed them in the fourth or fifth game 10 out of 10 times when they were in that position. They failed to do so against Orlando this year, and the Magic forced a Game 6 in Boston tonight. Check out the betting lines and the odds at BetPhoenix.com and back up your favorite team in this exciting series. It couldn’t have gone worse for the Celtics big men on Wednesday: starting center Kendrick Perkins was ejected in the first half, forward Glen Davis suffered a concussion in the second half, and Rasheed Wallace fouled out with 4:49 left in the game. The Magic are going to Boston tonight confident that they can tie the series. “At this point we believe we can win the series,” said Jameer Nelson, who led the Magic with a game-high 24 points on Wednesday. “We have to stay humble and keep focused and remember how we won these last two games. I believe they have pressure on them right now, but they have veteran players with Hall of Famers and a great coach.” If the Celtics don’t win either of the next two games, they will become the first team in NBA history to lose a playoff series after winning the first three games. “We need to win one game, and let’s hope it’s the next one,” Boston coach doc Rivers said. “If it takes coming back here, we’ll be ready for that, too. But we’d like to do the next one.” No kidding! Perkins was automatically ejected after getting his second technical foul Wednesday night. But, more significantly, it was Perkins’ seventh technical of the postseason, which calls for a one-game suspension unless one of the technicals is rescinded by the league. Fortunately for Boston, Perkins’ second T was rescinded by the league and he will play tonight. The Celtics need all their players to stop the Magic’s come back. Despite what coach Rivers said, they wouldn’t like to go back to Orlando for a series deciding Game 7 after the Magic dominated them there so thoroughly in Game 5. What could have been a Boston sweep in the Eastern Conference Finals – Orlando won Game 4 in overtime to extend the series -, has turned into a tough fight with no clear favorite. It looks like a must win tonight for the Celtics, they will look for their veteran players to bounce back and secure the series.
