He also explained how different his training is going compared with previous ones, " Well it's all been geared towards southpaw obviously and where he's a bit smaller than me and it's been replicating them styles really concentrating in the hand speed the movement and it's been sort of geared to that we've had fantastic sparring and a good plan and we've been training now for 14 weeks and I'm the best shape and I know it's a bit of cliché and I can't wait for the 1st October."

Darren Barker is a Chelsea supporter and a family man with a partner and little daughter his partner will be flying out the Atlantic City in the states to watch the fight and he will be seeing his daughter when he returns back to the UK as he has been locked away training and "when you have a family it makes you a bit more hungry".

The fight will be in Atlantic City in New Jersey and will be aired on HBO Boxing Network on 1st October and Sky Sports on the 2nd October in the early hours.
