UFC Preview: Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale
UFC Preview: Ultimate Fighter 14 FinaleThe UFC takes place this weekend and when Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale starts, it will become one of the most watched events of the weekend.
To bet on the Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale and all of the great UFC action, the best online sportsbook to bet on the fight is Bet Phoenix.

Headlining the event will be middleweight contenders Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Michael Bisping, who will engage in a five round non-title affair.

Team Bisping's TJ Dillashaw will be battling either John Dodson or John Bedford in the finals—who battle tonight to find their spot in this Saturday's Spike TV event.

Team Miller's Dennis Bermudez has already secured his place in the finals in the featherweight bracket and will face either Diego Brandao or Bryan Caraway in the finale—though Bisping may have let the cat out of the bag when the Brit made a recent appearance on Inside MMA.

These pivotal matches will affect their respective divisions for the foreseeable future and two men will hold a spot in the UFC where they will earn their six figure contract with the organization with a victory this Saturday.

Dennis Bermudez vs. Diego Brandao

Though Bisping has left little to assume who Dennis Bermudez will be facing in the finals, let's pretend like the TUF coach didn't already let the cat out of the bag.

Diego Brandao is a wrecking machine and a devastatingly strong man. The Brazilian whirlwind has crushed all of his opponents whilst on the show, having knocked out both his opponents in under one minute en route to his semi-final spot.

He's hot headed but uses his natural aggression to his advantage as he goes kamikaze inside the cage. This style of fighting is crucial in a battle with a fighter the likes of Bryan Caraway.

A touted submission specialist, Caraway hails from the Alpha Male crew in Sacramento, where he rubs shoulders side by side with Joseph Benavidez, Chad Mendes and former champion Urijah Faber.

A veteran of the WEC, Caraway has some natural tendencies heading into his fights but has been crippled by his own fear in the past. Being a notoriously slow starter which falls right into Brandao's hands who will devastate Caraway in another impressive knockout finish.

Though wily and explosive, Bermudez has the tools to face someone the caliber of the Greg Jackson product. Having been tested opposite of Jimmie Rivera and Akira Corassani—two heavy handed strikers who got the better of Bermudez early.

The powerhouse wrestler weathered those storms, eventually finishing off his opponents before the final bell. Much like what will happen in his battle with Brandao, who will start fast early and eventually wilt under the grappling prowess of Bermudez.

TJ Dillashaw vs. John Dodson

Tonight, John Dodson and John Bedford of Team Mayhem battle it out in the last bantamweight semifinals.

Bedford is a decorated high school wrestler and remains one of the bigger men in the tournament. He's used his 5-foot-10 frame effectively by muscling down smaller opposition to the mat where he often finishes the fight by submission.

The talented grappler remains one of the more experienced men on the show though he is pitted against an equally versed fighter in John Dodson.

The Greg Jackson product is regarded as one of the best flyweight fighters in the world and for good reason. Besides being an underrated wrestler, Dodson has an adept striking arsenal which is equipped with kicks and punches galore, making him a very serious threat for any man he faces.

In the end, his speed and athleticism will carry him to a decision victory over Bedford, who will bring Dodson to the canvas on a few occasions but ultimately be unable to keep the spitfire there for long.

"The Magician" will then take on fellow finalist TJ Dillashaw, who is one of the budding prospects hailing out of Team Alpha Male.

The NCAA Division I collegiate wrestler has successfully applied his trade on the mat to the cage effortlessly, holding an undefeated record so far in MMA.

Expect Dillashaw to keep the "O" intact as he uses his size advantage over Dodson to keep him to the mat. Again, Dodson will keep things interesting by continuing to work back to his feet, but the more well versed grappler and heavy handed striker in Dillashaw will eventually eke out the decision win.

Tony Ferguson vs. Yves Edwards

It's a battle of old school versus new school as longtime veteran Yves Edwards meets Tony Ferguson this Saturday.

Edwards, once recognized as the uncrowned king of the lightweight division, is a dynamic and exciting striker who holds an underrated jiu-jitsu pedigree, to which guillotine-expert Cody McKenzie can attest to as the wily fighter was submitted by an Edwards rear-naked choke in their tussle earlier this year.

However, if there's any knock to Edwards' accolades it would be the long wear and tear that he has suffered over the years, having been shut off by heavy hitters likes Jorge Masvidal and Sam Stout in some of his more recent performances.

And against a guy like Ferguson, Edwards will not be able to afford any chances in giving the rising star an opportunity to finish the fight. Ferguson may hail from a wrestling background but "El Cucuy" is a devastating striker as well.

Chopping low with leg kicks first, Ferguson sets up his combinations effectively with his jab and uppercuts, which both Ramsey Nijem and Aaron Riley can attest to, who have both been finished by the heavy handed slugger.

In the end, this match will represent a passing of the guard, as Ferguson continues to impress in the 155 pound class when he finished Edwards with an impressive array of strikes before the final bell.

The weekend plays host to the season finale of The Ultimate Fighter 14, which features both bantamweight and featherweight hopefuls.
