Boxing Betting Preview: Martin Murray vs. Felix Sturm
Boxing Betting Preview: Martin Murray vs. Felix SturmThis weekend fight fans will be excited to see some of the best boxers in the world enter the squared circle.
For the boxing fans that like to lay some cash on their favorite fighter, the best onlinesportsbook to bet on the fight is Bet Phoenix.

This weekend there is not just the one British Murray in action. There is John Murray preparing to face to Brandon Rios state side, but in Germany Martin Murray will go toe to toe with WBA World middleweight champion Felix Sturm.

Martin Murray can boast an unbeaten record but he has been widely dismissed as a no-hoper, having never fought anyone of the calibre of Sturm.

But he is in a positive frame of mind, saying: “I have never doubted my ability at all and I’m not going to start now.

Earlier on the year, Felix was very lucky to win on points against the warrior, Matthew Macklin after a very controversial judges scorecards. Not much is known about Martin Murray stateside, so his name more than likely does not ring a bell. This will be Martins 24th pro fight (23-0-0 10 knockouts) and he has only ever gone the full twelve rounds once in his career. Felix Strum is by far the best fighter he has ever stepped in the ring with. Martin has one the British Prizefighter, and the British and commonwealth titles.

In Strum’s last outing he did look well below his best and has admitted this in the build up to the fight with Murray and that now he feels better than ever. If this is true the slick, great boxing and skills should easily outclass the young Murray. Neither has great knockout power. Murray 23 wins with 10 knockouts and Felix with 36 wins with 15 knockouts.

Upsets happen in the world of boxing every day, but if it happens in this fight it will be one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.
