2010 NFL Preseason game: Atlanta Falcons vs. Miami Dolphins
2010 NFL Preseason game: Atlanta Falcons vs. Miami DolphinsThe 2010 NFL Preseason kicks off on Friday with a marquee matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and the Miami Dolphins.

The latest line posted by sportsbooks has the Dolphins as one-point favorites with a total of 37.5.

Week three in the preseason is an excellent opportunity to see the starters as they often play into the third quarter for each team. Teams will use week three to prepare for their opponent like they would in the regular season.

The Dolphins enter this preseason game as one of the hottest preseason teams in the country. The Dolphins have racked up nine straight preseason victories dating back to 2008. One of the reasons for the great start this year is the play of quarterback Chad Henne. He has had a magnificent preseason to date, completing 16-of-25 pass attempts for 170 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Henne and newly acquired wide receiver Brandon Marshall are beginning to connect, as Marshall collected 4 passes for 65 yards in the last preseason game. The Falcons have not been as fortunate with their first string offense.

The Falcons first string offense, led by quarterback Matt Ryan, has yet to get into the end zone in the preseason. The starters will get more playing time on Friday night in an attempt to score some points.

On defense, both teams have a few changes that are going to be made.

For the Falcons, they have some good news as cornerbacks Dunta Robinson (hamstring) and Brian Williams (knee) could be back in the lineup on Friday, as could defensive tackle Peria Jerry (knee).

The Dolphins will be trying out their latest acquisition on defense. Cornerback Benny Sapp, who was acquired from the Vikings on Wednesday in a trade that sent wideout Greg Camarillo to Minnesota, will see his first action as a member of the Dolphins.

Preseason NFL Pick

The Dolphins are playing very well on the offensive side of the football. Henne and Marshall are on the same page and they have a very strong running game. The Falcons defense will not slow them down and since the first string will play longer in this game, the scoreboard will be lit up with plenty of points.

The Falcons are feeling the pressure to score on offense. The first string has been shut out and in order to restore some confidence, the coaching staff will send out plays to get them in the end zone early and often.

This game will be high scoring, and the best bet on this game is to play ‘OVER’ the total.

Play on: OVER 37.5

This game on Friday will provide plenty of fireworks as we head into the weekend!
