The Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated the Fresno State Bulldogs last weekend, although it wasn't as easy as some predicted with Derek Carr and the Bulldogs hanging with the Huskers for three quarters. Taylor Martinez was the star of the day in Lincoln as Martinez lit up the Bulldogs defense to the tune of 385 yards. However the no-huddle approach is growing through some growing pains. The game wasn't sealed until the fourth quarter when Martinez found a seam and took it to the house on a 46 yard option play. The Husker defense played well against the Bulldogs; however Fresno did have more success than predicted against the Blackshirts. Derek Carr was effective completing 20/41 for 254 yards and one score. The Fresno ground game also had success against the Huskers as Robbie Rouse rushed for 169 yards in Lincoln on 36 carries. The Washington Huskies got their second win of the season last weekend as the Huskies defeated the Hawaii Warriors 40-32, outgaining the high powered Hawaii offense 466-388. Keith Price was under center for the Huskies against the Warriors, and Price was very effective completing 18/25 for 315 yards and four touchdowns. The Huskies are featuring one of the top backs in the nation this season with Chris Polk, and Polk didn't disappoint the Husky faithful rushing for 107 yards on 22 carries. Devin Aguilar established himself as a premiere receiver for the Huskies as Aguilar hauled in five receptions for 131 yards and a score. The Washington defense had some problems containing the high powered and athletic Warrior offense. Bryant Moniz was under center for Hawaii, and Moniz had a very strong game, completing 31/45 for 333 yards and a score. The sports betting trends actually favor the underdog in this contest. The Nebraska Cornhuskers are 2-6 ATS in their last eight games, and the Huskers are 18-5 SU in their last 23 games overall. The Huskies are 5-0 SU in their last five games, and 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games on the road.
