Oklahoma dominated No. 14 Florida State last week in Tallahassee thanks to the Sooner defense conceding just 246 yards, only 27 yards on the ground. It took the 2-1 Seminoles 26 rushes to get 27 yards too so Missouri will have its hands full if they plan on trying to run against Oklahoma. Offensively the Sooners turned the ball over two times compared to Florida State's three turnovers as junior quarterback Landry Jones had a rushing and passing touchdown. The Tigers will have a tough time winning on the road. It will be tough though for Missouri who hasn't won in Norman in a while and has fallen by 10 in 2007 and 21 in 2003 their last two trips. The Tigers comes in well-rested however having just thrashed 1-2 Western Illinois 69-0 in a game that mirrored more of an exhibition than anything else. Missouri's comfortable win was much needed after suffering their first loss in Tempe to 2-1 Arizona State 37-30. Sophomore QB James Franklin threw two TDs and ran one in during the second quarter to help give Missouri the confidence they belonged. Things looked bleak with 14:23 to go in the fourth quarter when Arizona State went up 30-16. Following a three and out the Tigers punted but a muffed Sun Devils return fortuitously allowed Missouri to score moments later thanks to Franklin hooking up with sophomore WR L'Damian Washington from 25 yards out. Nearly 10 minutes later the Tigers evened things up with Franklin's passing TD to Michael Agnew. The Tigers defense is stout enough to keep Missouri in business but it will ultimately come down to Franklin doing everything he can on the ground and in the air. The Tigers were TO free against Arizona State and nearly won because of it. If Missouri can take care of the ball, they'll hang in. The Tigers will have to make sure that they keep this game close. If the Sooners start to pull away early and never look back, it will lead to a blowout win for the Sooners and a long night for the Tigers.

The Oklahoma Sooners cemented their No. 1 spot with a big win over the Florida State Seminoles. Now they will take on the Missouri Tigers and look to avoid the letdown.
