The Seattle Seahawks Look To get their first win at home against Arizona
The Seattle Seahawks Look To get their first win at home against ArizonaThe Seattle Seahawks have had a very slow start to the NFL season and are currently 0-2. They are hoping that when they host the Arizona Cardinals in week three that home cooking will help get a win. The latest NFL lines for this game and all of the other games on the schedule for this week will be found at online sportsbook BetPhoenix.
In the current NFL standings, Arizona has a one game lead over the Seahawks in the NFC West. Through two games, Seattle is winless at 0-2 and the Cardinals have split their first two games. In those games, Arizona beat the Carolina Panthers 28-21 to open the year and then fell to the Washington Redskins (22-21) in Week 2. The game against Washington could have gone either way, meaning the Cardinals could have easily been 2-0 at this point in the season. Seattle lost to the San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers, arguably much better teams than Arizona has played so far, though.

There is one key to this game that is more important to Seattle than any other, and it is to put points on the board. The Seahawks have only scored 17 points this season, making Seattle the lowest-scoring team in the NFL. That's not going to get it done against an improving Arizona team, especially one with a new quarterback Kevin Kolb running the offense. The combination of Kolb and running back beanie Wells could be tough to deal with, but the Seattle defense has been pretty good when it needed to be this year.

Tarvaris Jackson has got to come out strong in this game, and he has to lead the Seahawks on several successful drives to open the game. They don't have to all lead to scores, but the three-and-outs have got to become a thing of the past. Success on offense will make the field position easier for the Seattle defense to actually defend and could be the real key to a victory on Sunday.

The Cardinals will need improved defensive play if they want to win on Sunday. They have a new defensive coordinator in Ray Horton and with him, a new defensive philosophy and scheme. The defense is complicated and we've been told (repeatedly) that without the benefit of OTAs and mini-camps, they are behind schedule. We can guarantee the Seattle Seahawks don't care about those excuses and at some point soon, Cardinals fans won't either.

The team claims they made progress this week and they are confident that once they stop making the mistakes they are making that they can and will be a good defensive team. Obviously, the proof will be in beating the pudding out of teams on a consistent basis.

It will be interesting to see what team rises to the occasion for this big game and is able to take it to the next level and get a victory.
