They are a team with something to prove. They are working hard to prove that they are not the team of old. They have a new spirit, and a new way of doing things under the leadership of head coach, Josh Garrett. This allows the Cowboys to be in first place in the NFC East with a record of 2-1. Even last year, Romo would probably not have played in the game on Monday night. After all, he was injured in the game the week before, suffering from broken ribs and a hole in his lung. Still the new Romo played and led his team to a victory over the Washington Redskins. If the Cowboys expect to win against the Lions, they must not have any more fumbles on the snap. This error happened four times in the Monday night game, and if it continues will cost the Cowboys the game against the Lions. Romo has expressed anger at Phil Costra. The two must get their teamwork together. This could be the defining game of the Cowboys season as they attempt to give the Lions the first loss of the season.
