The Green Bay Packers Put on an Air Show Against the Denver Broncos
The Green Bay Packers Put on an Air Show Against the Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are banged up on defense which will not bode well against the high flying Green Bay Packers.

All of the NFL Odds for this game and the entire week four NFL schedule can be found at online sportsbook BetPhoenix.

The Denver Broncos are in a rebuilding year. They have only won one game so far this year. That game was against the Cincinnati Bengals who are also having a rebuilding year. In fact, the Broncos have a statistics that no team would want. In their last thirteen games, they have either allowed their opponents to gain 300 running yards or allowed the opponent to gain 100 passing yards.

Denver fans are mighty grouchy these days. They are blaming everyone from the quarterback Orton to head coach Fox for the series of losses. Fox came to the Broncos from the Carolina Panthers where he went 1-19. Fox made a call at the end of the game, which the Broncos lost by only three points, which may have cost the team the victory. On the other hand, Orion failed to deliver. So far, the Broncos have averaged 19.3 points per game. This leaves them 14th in the NFL.

The defense is allowing huge holes right up the middle and their opponents are taking advantage of this. Denver has been hurt by key injuries on the defense. They have also been hurt by a lackluster attitude of many of the players. The Bronco's defense has had five costly fumbles in this young season. They have lost three of them. Denver is hoping that Elvis Dumervil will be able to return for the game against the Packers.

The Green Bay Packers won against the Chicago Bears, 27-17, this past Sunday. The team is averaging 33 points per game with 403.3 total yards, most of it in the air. The team has won all three of their regular season games this year. They are placed first in ESPN's Power Rankings. Meanwhile, the Bronco's finished 26th.

Green Bay has been playing nickel coverage on more than half of the defensive snaps this season. Many felt last year's Packers could be run against. It is much harder to do so far this year. They are an extremely stout line that seems to be stopping all that comes at them. Against the Bears, the defense caused the quarterback to end up with negative yardage on six of his nine carries.

The Packers may be a little concerned about the health of some of their players. Nick Collins is out for the season, and Bryan Bulaga is listed as doubtful with a strained right knee.

This could cause some matchup problems against the Broncos but it won’t be enough to lose in week five of the NFL.
