| Clemson Tigers on the Prowl For Boston College Eagles |
On Saturday when Boston College travels to Death Valley to face Clemson, the two teams will be squaring off for a conference win. Clemson comes into the matchup red-hot at 5-0 and winners of three straight games against ranked opponents. Meanwhile, Boston College is hoping to get on track after an abyssmal 1-4 start to the season. No team has been hotter than Clemson as of late. The Tigers started a brilliant run three weeks ago, when they handed Auburn their lone loss of the season. Then Florida State came to town, and Clemson handled the Seminoles with a 35-30 win at Death Valley. After winning against Auburn and Florida State at home, the Tigers went on the road for their first road game and biggest test to date, against Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. Clemson manhandled the Hokies from the start, and got a solid performance from their defense, which resulted in a 23-3 victory. The Tigers offense led by Tajh Boyd was efficient, but the defense was the fuel behind the victory, and Clemson played its best football game of the season. Boston College has been a major disappointment this season. The Eagles have just one win this season, which was against UMass. Unfortunately for BC, the return of a healthy Montel Harris has not equaled any improvements in the win column. Most recently, the Eagles were handed their fourth loss of the season by Wake Forest Saturday, a 27-19 defeat. The bright spot for BC came on offense, where the unit was able to improve upon third down conversions. Clemson has to avoid letdown after playing three big games in a row. Now they face a BC Eagles team looking for that big win that will bring some attention to the team after a slow start. Don’t ignore the potential upset in this big game.
