The Seattle Seahawks had a beautiful second half of almost perfect ball led by quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. This will have to be the team that shows up against the Giants, if they want to win. Tarvaris Jackson really seems to be coming into his own finding ten different players to pass the ball to on 25 different passes gaining 319 yards in the air, 186 yards of it in the second half. Particularly, during the second half, Jackson learned to slow down and seek his target. This may stop the fans cries for Jackson to be replaced by backup quarterback Charlie Whitehurst. Jackson still threw two interceptions. The line was able to give great protection for Jackson, who was never sacked. Another highlight of Sundays game that must be repeated against the Giants was the running game of Lynch. Another highlight of the game was the defense which refused to quit, even when down by a large margin. Remember that the Seahawks have 11 rookies on their roster. Six of these 11 players are playing key roles. In their earlier games, the Seahawks seemed to have trouble getting all the different factors of the game together, but that seemed to happen on Sunday. The Seahawks lost two key players on Sunday, wide receiver Mike Williams with a concussion and linebacker Matt McCoy with a knee injury. Eli Manning had a good game, capped by a great fourth quarter on Sunday. The Giants had three scoring drives in the fourth quarter, and Manning went 15 for 18 for the day. Manning really seemed able to keep his composure during the game. He will have to continue to do this if the Giants expect to win on Sunday. In the game on Sunday, the Giants dominated the air with 41 passing plays. They had 24 running plays. Expect the Giants to have trouble passing that many times against the Seahawks. Everyone expects the Giants to be a running team, but Ahmad Bradshaw was the leading rusher against the Cardinals. He had 39 yards on 12 carries. The team had 54 yards on 24 carries. The Giants must be able to run the ball against the Seahawks. On Sunday, the Giants made an adjustment to their offensive line, which really seemed to help. They moved Mario Manningham to the slot wide receiver position. On Sunday, they often played three wide receivers with Victor Cruz playing the slot in position. Cruz had a career high six receptions during the game. The Seahawks are over manned in this game, but anything can happen on any given Sunday.
