Iowa vs. Indiana College Betting Game Preview
Iowa vs. Indiana College Betting Game Preview

The Indiana Hoosiers have been the whipping boys of the Big Ten, but if they can beat the Iowa Hawkeyes, it would be a big win for the school.

The latest college football odds can be four at online sportsbook Bet Phoenix. For all of your college football wagering needs, Bet Phoenix is the best place to bet on college football.

The Iowa Hawkeyes improved their record to 4-2 last Saturday night after an exciting win over the Northwestern Wildcats in Iowa City. Iowa looked to be in control early against the 'Cats last weekend, but Northwestern tied things up afar a solid third quarter and Iowa fans were starting to have Déjà Vu of the past few seasons. Things would be different this time around for the Hawks however as Iowa scored 24 points in the fourth quarter pulling away from the surging Wildcats and securing the victory in front of their home crowd. When I think Iowa football I think of a strong defense and a strong running game with bruising backs behind a huge and talented offensive line.

Iowa still runs the ball, but the passing game is starting to make it known as the Hawks are averaging 253 yards through the air this season which puts them 38th in the nation. Defensively the Hawks still play solid ball, but Iowa is a bit down on their defense this season as teams are putting up better numbers against this Iowa team.

The Indiana Hoosiers just can't seem to get it together this season, and it is evident that until Kevin Wilson gets some of his own guys in there, the Hoosiers are going to struggle. Indiana got blown out by the Badgers this past weekend, and it could have been worse if the Badgers hadn't taken their foot off the gas when they did. The Indiana defense is atrocious allowing over 31 points per game this season, and over 21 points.

Offensively the Hoosiers are putting up better numbers through the air than years in the past as Indiana is gaining over 220 yards per game through the air ranking them 69th in the nation. The Hawkeye secondary has given up a lot of yards this season as Iowa is allowing over 250 yards per game against the pass, and if Indiana can gain some momentum early against Iowa, there is a chance to see some points here from the Hoosiers.

The Hoosiers still have a long way to go before they will be considered a top team in football, but a win over Iowa could start changing the opinion about things in Indiana.
