Baltimore Ravens vs. Arizona Cardinals
Baltimore Ravens vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Baltimore Ravens look to rebound from a tough Monday Night Football loss when they play against the Arizona Cardinals.

The latest NFL odds for week eight and in this game can be found at the top rated sportsbook, Bet Phoenix.

In what was supposed to be a laugher on Monday night between one of the AFC's supposed powerhouses and one of the NFL's doormats we certainly didn't expect the outcome we got between the Ravens and Jaguars and no one anticipated the Ravens would play so poorly on a primetime stage. You have to give the jags credit however as they were spectacular on defense limiting the Ravens to a single yard of offense in the first half and despite a late touchdown the Jags were able to hold off an otherwise abysmal night from the Ravens. Baltimore must now host a Cardinals team coming off a 12-point home loss to the Steelers and will be looking to stay afloat in the NFC West who with a loss could see their already improbable playoff hopes become diminished.

In an offseason that was filled with a sign of optimism as a product of the Kevin Kolb acquisition who was given the role of savior behind center in the desert after a number of failed attempts to fill Kurt Warner's void the rebound season for the Cardinals has definitely failed to live up to expectation. The Cards sit at 1-5 on the season and despite being in one of if not the worst division in football where a sub .500 division winner in Seattle made the playoffs last year it doesn't look good for Arizona. San Frnacisco is far and away the class of the West this season and with injury woes continuing to build in Arizona there is no signs of progression moving forward and matching up against a Ravens team on the road doesn't bode well either. Early Doucet and Larry Fitzgerald do pose a threat through the air but the loss of Beanie Wells in the backfield makes the Cards offense one dimensional as Larod Stephens Howling is by no means a reliable number one back especially against Baltimore's defense.

The Ravens were an atrocity to watch on Monday night as they couldn't do anything right for the life of them on offense and despite having a decent game on the defensive side of the ball as they usually do it was against a pitiful Jags offense who was able to muster up 12 points in the victory. Joe Flacco and Ray Rice had easily their worst games as professionals and looked as though they would be in competition for a starting roster in a Pop Warner league let alone the NFL. Despite the loss - the second to the the very weak AFC South as they fell in week 2 to the Titans on the road the Ravens are still a threat to not only win their division but to make some noise in the AFC playoffs and I would still consider this team to be among the elite in the NFL.

This game could be a blowout if the Ravens show up and play angry looking for retribution.
