Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are off a huge upset on Monday Night Football and now look to take on the Houston Texans.

The latest NFL odds for week eight and in this game can be found at the top rated sportsbook, Bet Phoenix.

Jacksonville was able to muster 4 field goals from Josh Scobee including 3 from 50+ yards in a chess match they ultimately won against a very underachieving Ravens team that didn't show up. Now the Jags have to travel to Houston to take on a Texans team who absolutely dismantled the Tennessee Titans in Nashville by a 41-7 trouncing behind a spectacular outing from Arian Foster. This AFC South matchup should separate the best from the rest and the Texans have an opportunity to gain some breathing room in a division where the Titans are the only legitimate threat and taking the crown away from Houston.

in what was supposed to be one of the marquee games of the week with potentially huge playoff implications on the line the Houston Texans went into Tennessee and absolutely thrashed the Titans winning by a 41-7 margin as Texans running back Arian Foster ran for 119 yards and two touchdowns while adding another 120 through the air with another score leading the Texans offense. Foster filled the void left by Andre Johnson's injury as a receiving threat out of the backfield and with tight end Owen Daniels enjoying a nice day as well the Texans offense was abe to do anything they pleased against an otherwise respectable Titans defense. Houston's other running back Ben Tate accumulated over 100 yards on the ground as well complimenting a very lethal ground attack for the Texans who should be able to have more success against the Jags defense than the Ravens did and have the home crowd playing a factor as well.

Jacksonville sits at 2-5 in the year after their dramatic win over the Ravens but as mentioned already that victory was more a product of the Ravens not showing up than the Jaguars playing a good game. They struggled immensely no offense as well and they lack the killer instinct to get the ball in the endzone. Maurice Jones-Drew had a great game on the ground alleviating some of the pressure placed on Blaine Gabbert and without Mari Williams and Johnathan Joseph in Houston's secondary MJD should be able to enjoy another nice game in this one.

It will be interesting to see how the Jags respond playing on a short week after a big win.
