| Miami Dolphins vs. New York Giants |
The latest NFL odds for week eight and in this game can be found at the top rated sportsbook, Bet Phoenix. For once Dolphins fans exited the stadium late in the fourth quarter with smiles on their faces with the hometown team up 15-0. By the time they got home those smiles were wiped away. Miami had lost 10 out of its last 11 home games, but had a prime opportunity to change that against a sputtering Broncos offense. John Fox left the training wheels on Tim Tebow for a while and the former Gator was miserable in the first three plus quarters. But Tebow led a touchdown drive with a few minutes to go, and Denver recovered the ensuing onside kick. A Tebow to Daniel Fells screen pass brought the Broncos to within two, and Tebow in explicably ran untouched into the endzone for the game-tying two-point conversion. In overtime, Matt Moore was stripped by D.J. Williams and Denver was already in position for the field goal. Miami is now 1-11 in its last 11 home games and is in a tight race for the right to select Andrew Luck in next year's draft. After the game Reggie Bush said he was embarrassed and there is not many other ways to characterize the Dolphins’ season. What other word would you use for a team that’s 0-6, is ranked 30th in scoring and 30th in point differential? Miami was a much more respectable 7-9 last season. About the only thing going for them this week is that they do not have to play at home, where they have been miserable. The Giants are another team that seems to have very little home field advantage. New York was on bye last week, but was locked up in two tight ones at home the previous weeks. One of those games was a loss to the road-challenged Seahawks, and the other was a narrow escape over the Bills. Overall, it has been a strong season for the G-Men as they sit atop the NFC East at 4-2. Eli Manning has been quietly efficient and has spread the ball around on offense. The defensive line has led the way on the other side of the ball with 21 sacks. If the Dolphins want to get their first win they will need to play tough to beat a Giants team off a bye.
