The Red Raiders suffered a big loss when running back Eric Stephens went down for the year and DeAndre Washington is now the top option but thus far we have seen a significant drop off. As usual Texas Tech receivers are putting up big numbers as Eric Ward has 49 catches and Alex Torres has 41. The Texas Tech defense hasn’t done much this season and they are basically called upon to just make a few stops a game in hopes the offense can just outscore the opponent. Cody Davis leads the Red Raiders’ defense with 48 tackles and D.J. Johnson has 47. This game is a must-win for both these teams with Texas Tech looking for dignity, while the Longhorns want to get noticed on the national scene.
