The Baylor Bears were cruising along this season but now following back to back losses Art Briles’ team needs to grab some wins just to make a bow game. Robert Griffin III has been in and out of the Heisman race and regardless of where he finishes he has done himself well establishing himself as a prospect to play QB at the next level as aside from his world class speed and rifle arm, his 75.4 percent completion percentage, his 23 touchdowns, and just four interceptions have him among the nation’s elite. Terrance Ganaway has provided the ground presence this season and has picked up the tough yards and while it seems Griffin always has the option to run Ganaway gets the traditional running plays.

Kendall Wright is simply an outstanding receiver and while the opposition knows he is Griffin’s number one target, he still finds a way to get open and then holds onto the ball and Terrance Williams keeps defenses honest on the other side. Baylor’s undoing has been their defense as they have allowed big numbers against the better teams, something they will need to avoid this week against a very tough Missouri team.

The Missouri Tigers are coming off of an upset win at Texas A&M and Gary Pinkel’s team will need to avoid the letdown that seems to affect a lot of teams that win a big game. James Franklin is coming into his own at QB making clutch throws and showing his power running ability breaking tackles and making first downs to keep drives alive. Mizzou is experienced at the skill positions with Henry Josey who had 162 yards last week, Kendial Lawrence, and De’Vion Moore. T.J. Moe is a home run threat and tight end Michael Egnew is one of the highest regarded at his position in the country. Missouri’s defense has played well in spots but in four games this year they allowed more than 30 points and playing against a high powered offense like Baylor they will be tested once again.

This will be a good chance for the Bears to beat the Tigers and get back into the national spotlight, but will need to avoid the letdown.
