| Tuesday Night Football: Toledo Rockets vs. Western Michigan Broncos |
Bet Phoenix has all off the latest odds on this game and all of the college football betting action for week 11. The Rockets host one of the teams chasing them and the Huskies the 5-4, 3-2 Western Michigan Broncos this Tuesday. WMU didn't play as much of a physically and mentally draining game last week. Actually the Broncos didn't even play during Week 10 of the college football season. Fresh off a bye Western Michigan's last game was a 45-35 home win over 6-4, 4-2 Ball State. The Broncos and Cardinals exploded in the second quarter for seven touchdowns, four by WMU to give the home team a one-TD lead at the break. Scoring for the Broncos during the first half was junior quarterback Alex Carder to senior wide receivers Robert Arnheim and Jordan White along with Arnheim hooking up with White and a pair of scores by sophomore running back Tevin Drake on the ground. Unfortunately for Western Michigan, BSU struck twice in the last minute to creep back into the game. Carder ran one in for the only score during the third as senior placekicker John Potter's field goal with 1:55 to go put the game on ice. As many points as the Broncos and Cardinals put up, that was a low-scoring affair compared to last week's Tuesday night tussle between Toledo and NIU. The Rockets allowed two kickoff returns during the first quarter sandwiched around junior QB Austin Dantin's 12-yard TD to fellow junior WR Eric Page. The two hooked up once again after the Huskies hit the house for the second time on special teams and Northern Illinois even raced to a 28-14 advantage with a 71-yard pass early in the second period. However Dantin's third TD pass to Page and freshman PK Jeremiah Detmer's 41-yard field goal brought Toledo within four at the break. This game will be interesting to watch as two decent teams take the field and the week of football starts early.
