| Thursday Night Football: Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Tech |
Bet Phoenix has all off the latest odds on this game and all of the college football betting action for week 11. ESPN's Thursday Night Football will showcase two of the ACC's best when Georgia Tech hosts Virginia Tech. The winner of Thursday night's contest will further boost their chances of appearing in a BCS bowl game, and moves closer to an opportunity to appear in the ACC championship game. Virginia Tech had last week off, which gives them some time to prepare for Georgia Tech's triple-option offensive attack. In their last game out, the Hokies beat Duke by a final of 14-10. The game was a grind-it-out type of game for the Hokies, and David Wilson continued his impressive season by gaining 148 rushing yards. Virginia Tech has been very erratic this season, and the Hokies have not been kind to their bettors. VaTech is just 2-7 ATS this season despite being 8-1 overall. After being left for dead, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets bounced back from two consecutive losses to Virginia and Miami with their biggest win of the season, a 31-17 defeat of Clemson two weeks ago. Like Virginia Tech, the Yellow Jackets had last week off in preparation for Thursday night's battle. Against Clemson, quarterback Tevin Washington had a great performance. After having a couple of sub-par performances in two losses to Virginia and Miami, Washington rebounded nicely and gained 176 rushing yards. More importantly, Washington led the Yellow Jackets offense in a strong effort to keep the explosive Clemson offense off the field, having 39 minutes of possession time to Clemson's 21. It will be interesting to see if the Yellow Jackets can ride the momentum from the victory. Out of all three games on Thursday night, this should be the most interesting game to watch.
