| Thursday Night Football: Central Michigan vs. Ohio |
Bet Phoenix has all off the latest odds on this game and all of the college football betting action for week 11. While the Mid-American West Standings are a long way from being decided, the MAC East is just as muddled with the 6-3, 3-2 Ohio Bobcats on top and in control of their destiny thanks to a thrilling 35-31 win over 5-4, 3-3 Temple last Wednesday. This Thursday the Bobcats travel to the West’s worst 3-7, 2-4 Central Michigan Chippewas who lost a heartbreaker at 3-6, 2-3 Kent State last Friday. First off let me give high praise to Ohio who handed the Owls their third MAC loss with a touchdown from sophomore quarterback Tyler Tettleton to fellow sophomore wide receiver Donte Foster with 1:41 to go in the game instead of opting to playing it safe knowing a field goal would tie things up. Tettleton threw a two-yard TD to junior tight end Jordan Thompson midway through the fourth period to put the Bobcats ahead. However Temple came back to score on their next possession before Tettleton’s dramatics. Earlier in the game Tettleton trotted into the end zone and threw a 25-yard pass to senior running back Donte Harden who also raced in for a score from 81 yards away to begin the second-half scoring. Last Friday CMU fell down 14-0 early in the second quarter during an away game against the Golden Flashes before squaring the score at 14 after 30 minutes. Junior QB Ryan Radcliff found freshmen WRs Titus Davis and Courtney Williams through the air for TDs. Trailing 24-14 halfway through the fourth period the Chippewas got on the scoreboard once more with Radcliff’s arm and Davis’ outstretched arms for an exhilarating 52-yard passing play but missed a chip shot field goal that would have forced overtime with time expiring. This game becomes very crucial in the standings and the winner will get an edge moving forward while the loser could be looking at a long season.
