| Missouri Tigers vs. Texas Longhorns |
Bet Phoenix has all off the latest odds on this game and all of the college football betting action for week 11. With the Big 12 coming up tougher this year than normal it has come at the expense of the success of the Missouri Tigers who may be in their last season in the conference. Gary Pinkel’s team has been a bowl regular but they are going to need to win two of their last three to make it happen again this season. James Franklin has shown his athleticism at QB game after game as he’s thrown for 2,195 yards with 16 touchdowns and seven interceptions and rushing for another 599 yards and 10 touchdowns. Henry Josie is Mizzou’s leading rusher with 1,149 yards and nine touchdowns but Kendial Lawrence and De’Vion Moore have also contributed to the ground game. T.J. Moe is the Tigers leading receiver with 44 catches followed by tight end Michael Egnew with 42 catches and Wes Kemp with 21 grabs. The Missouri defense has seven interceptions, 19 sacks, and seven fumble recoveries. Andrew Wilson has 75 tackles, E.J. Gaines has 58, and Zavier Gooden has 52. Missouri hasn’t played poorly but they have run into some tough competition on just about a weekly basis. After an unusually poor season in 2010, Mack Brown’s Texas Longhorns have rebounded by losing just twice in their first eight games thus far in 2011. David Ash has taken over as the full time QB completing 61.5 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and five interceptions. Joe Bergeron has been the featured running back of late and he’s coming off of a monster game against Texas Tech where he rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns but Fozzy Whittaker sees plenty of action rushing for 371 yards and six touchdowns on the year. Jaxson Shipley leads the Horns in receptions with 33 followed by Mike Davis with 29. The Longhorn’s defense has intercepted seven passes, recovered eight fumbles, and has 14 sacks. Emmanuel Acho has 71 tackles, Keenan Robinson has 59, and Alex Okafor has five sacks. Texas is much improved from a year ago but without steadier play at QB it will be a tough road all the way back to where they have been over the years. Missouri is playing their last go around in the Big 12, but if they play this bad in the SEC, it could be a bad move for the football program.
