Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Michigan State Spartans
Iowa Hawkeyes vs. Michigan State Spartans

The Iowa Hawkeyes proved they can beat one of the best schools in the Big ten and will get a chance to do it again when they play Michigan State.

Bet Phoenix has all off the latest odds on this game and all of the college football betting action for week 11.

After losing to their rival the Golden Gophers the week before, Iowa came into last weekend's game with the Wolverines as the underdog, despite the game being played at Kinnick Stadium. The Hawkeyes ended up defeating the Wolverines 24-16, despite a solid day from Denard Robinson and a late comeback attempt by Michigan. James Vandenberg was solid for the Hawkeyes completing 14/21 for 178 yards and one score, while the Iowa run game was again effective as Hawkeye running back Marcus Coker rushed for 132 yards on 29 carries.

The Iowa defense allowed some big plays from the Michigan offense, but Brady Hoke's squad was kept in check for the majority of the day as Iowa was able to improve to 6-3 on the year.

The Michigan State Spartans looked to have a bye week of sorts this past weekend when Sparty faced the Gophers in their home stadium. MSU is traditionally very tough to beat at home and even though Minnesota did upset the Hawkeyes the week before Michigan State was the huge favorite on Saturday.

Minnesota actually held a field goal lead heading into the final quarter and it looked like there was a chance that Michigan State would fall into the same trap that Iowa fell into by underestimating Minnesota. Le'Veon Bell ended up striking the final blow for MSU as the Spartan running back scored on a 35 yard carry with just over ten minutes remaining to give the Spartans the lead for good.

Iowa will really turn some heads if they are able to take down the Spartans and show the Big Ten that they are team to be taken seriously.
