The Minnesota Golden Gophers are starting to play better football as of late, and after back to back losses the Badgers came back in a big way last weekend.

Minnesota fell to the Michigan State Spartans last weekend by the score of 31-24, however Minnesota made things interesting as the Gophers took a lead into the fourth quarter. Quarterback Marqueis Gray led the Gopher attack through the air as the Minnesota qb threw for 295 yards and three scores against the Spartan defense, while rushing for an additional 71 yards. Minnesota is starting to show signs of playing better football after a victory over their rival the Iowa Hawkeyes the previous week, and now playing one of the top teams in the Big Ten, Michigan State very tough on the road. It will be tough going for the Gophers against a Wisconsin team that is eager to win, and win big the rest of the season to show voters they are better than their 7-2 record.

The Wisconsin Badgers took their frustrations of back to back last second losses out on the Purdue Boilermakers last weekend, beating up on Purdue 62-17. As the score would suggest the Boilermakers never competed with Wisconsin as the Badgers put up over 600 yards of offense against the Purdue defense. Russell Wilson took the majority of the snaps for the Badgers, and again Wilson was excellent. The Badger qb completed 15/20 on the day for 205 yards and two scores, while adding an additional 76 yards and a score on the ground. The Badgers are two plays away from being undefeated right now with both of their losses coming on the road, at night, in very hostile situations.

This game is very important to the Badgers title hopes and they can’t take it lightly.
