| South Carolina Gamecocks vs. Florida Gators |
The best place to bet on college football and get the latest odds and wagering options is online sportsbook, Bet Phoenix. The South Carolina Gamecocks had hopes of getting back to the SEC Title game this season but Steve Spurrier’s team may need some help as they look to rebound from last week’s loss to Arkansas. South Carolina has been solid this season but overcoming the loss of their starting QB Stephen Garcia who under achieved and then was thrown off of the team and starting running back Marcus Lattimore who has been lost for the season looks like it may turn out to be more than they can overcome. Connor Shaw is coming off of a mediocre performance in Fayetteville where he threw for just 128 yards and while he ran for two touchdowns, it was off of just 24 yards rushing. Brandon Wilds had just 21 rushing yards on 10 carries and Alshon Jeffery has disappeared once again from the passing game as Kenny Miles and Ace Sanders led South Carolina with 30 receiving yards each. With the offense mustering just 207 total yards last week the defense didn’t fare much better allowing 435 yards and 44 points with Devin Taylor being the one saving grace with an interception return for a touchdown. The South Carolina defense has two of the best players in the nation in Cornelius Ingram and Jadeveon Clowney but even with two players of that talent level, they can’t carry the day for both sides of the ball. The Florida Gators are in the middle of a rebuilding year and are coming off of a win that ended a four game losing streak. John Brantley is healthy again but he has never become the QB many expected at Florida even with new offensive coordinator Charlie Weiss he isn’t able to put up any kind of numbers. Jeff Demps is coming off of a monster game against Vanderbilt where he rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns and while usually he is accompanied in the backfield by Chris Rainey, Demps carried the load last week as Rainey is day-to-day with an ankle injury. The Florida defense was seen as inexperienced coming into the season and it continues to show as it did last week when they allowed 377 yards and 21 points to a Vandy team whose offense has struggled all season. South Carolina still wants to represent the east in the SEC Championship and a win against Florida is the only way to do it.
