It’s year two of the Brian Kelly regime in South Bend as Head Coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and his team has seen marked improvement this year. QB Tommy Rees has been a big part of the improvement as he has completed 67.2 percent of his passes with 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Cierre Wood is playing up to his potential rushing for 907 yards and nine touchdowns and Jonas Gray has 730 yards and 11 touchdowns. Michael Floyd leads the Irish receiving corps with 77 catches for 922 yards and seven touchdowns and Tyler Eifert has 51 catches and five touchdowns. The Notre Dame defense has seven interceptions, four fumble recoveries, and 19 sacks. Manti Te’o has 91 tackles and 4.5 sacks, Harrison Smith has 73 tackles, and Aaron Lynch has four sacks. With another win or two ND looks to be headed to a major bowl appearance. It has been a disappointing substandard season for the Boston College Eagles but with a win against Notre Dame a lot could be forgotten. QB Chase Reiting has had a rough year completing 53.1 percent of his passes with nine touchdowns and nine interceptions. Rolandan Finch is averaging 4.5 yards per carry and he has three touchdowns and Andre Williams averages 4.3 yards per carry and has four touchdowns. Bobby Swigert has 35 catches and two touchdowns and Colin Lamond has 31 catches for 500 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively Boston College has eight interceptions, nine sacks, and three fumble recoveries. Luke Kuechly leads the defense and he has a whopping 168 tackles and Kevin Pierre-Louis has 65 tackles. BC have been bowl regulars but that won’t be the case this year. Boston College should be just what the doctor ordered for a Notre Dame team looking for an easy victory on the season.
