While it may be a case of too little too late for the Seattle Seahawks and anyone else in the NFC West as the San Francisco 49ers have gone off this season but the Seahawks have to be pleased with how they've played over the past couple weeks and will look to finish the season strong moving forward. Seattle has won 2 straight games including a win over their division rivals from St. Louis last week and host a Redskins team who is struggling in the East after bowing out in overtime to the Cowboys.

After proclaiming the Redskins to be the team to beat the NFC East this season quarterback Rex Grossman was living up to his prophecies early in the season as Washington looked like a team on a mission. However, the wheels fell off and the Skins aren't even on the track anymore as they have slipped to 3-7 on the year and are completely deflated after losing at home in overtime to the hated Dallas Cowboys. Despite the return of Grossman to the lineup who has played decent in his return and wide out Donte Stallworth getting his first touchdown in almost 3 years the Skins can't find ways to win and it is becoming more and more of a sure thing that they will miss the postseason. A road victory against an improving Seahawks team could be a huge confidence booster but I think it's all she wrote in DC this season.

The Seahawks as mentioned have won two straight games and are now 4-6 on the year which in the abysmal NFC West is good enough for 2nd place while i think it'll be all for not and the Hawks will most the postseason. Tarvaris Jackson has played as well as he ever has in this league and definitely his best since coming over from Minnesota and former Bills and California running back Marshawn Lynch continues his strong campaign. Seattle returns home where they have been historically a very difficult opponent as the New Orleans Saints learned in last year's divisional playoffs and with a team like Washington coming in it is fitting the Seahawks are 4.5 point favorites.

It will be interesting to see what teams are still playing for something and what team has thrown in the towel for the season.
