He ran for 190 yards last week, but most observers still think he lacks the burst of speed that made him so special. Can Matthew Hasselbeck stay healthy? He has been dealing with nagging injuries all year and has even had to come out of a couple games. If rookie Jake Locker has to come in and play, it could mean a long day for him. Although the Bills defense is not good at getting pressure on the quarterback, they are still good at forcing turnovers on any errant throw. However, the Bills defense is making everyone look good these days, so maybe it doesn't matter who is in the game. Tony Romo had all of 3 incomplete passes against Buffalo, and Matt Moore and Mark Sanchez combined for 7 touchdowns in their games against Buffalo. Neither QB is a world beater, so that just goes to show how a weak pass rush can make your defense that much less effective overall. It will be the first week in December, so that means that the wind and the bad weather is always a possibility in Buffalo. This will make the running game of both teams the forefront of the game this week. As stated, Chris Johnson is struggling this year, and C.J Spiller is the new starter in Buffalo after Fred Jackson went down for the year. This ultimately is what makes the game a huge toss up. The team that has the better running back play this week should be the winner. The wind in Buffalo generally makes it impossible to throw passes for at least half the game as the wind gusts in one direction. Kicking is also hard as the swirling winds around the end zones also add a layer of intimidation. For the Bills, a win would be huge as they try to keep playoff hopes alive and get a win before going back on the road to San Diego next week. For Tennessee, a win would potentially put them into the sixth seed in the AFC, and the final wild card spot, going into a game against New Orleans the following week. The opening football lines for the game this Sunday has the Bills as a 1.5 point favorite as of Tuesday's betting. This game is a do or die win for the Buffalo Bills who cannot afford to lose any more games if they want to be in the race for the post season.
