The Baltimore Ravens travel to Cleveland this Sunday for a 1:00 PM contest with fellow AFC North foes, the Browns, the first of two games remaining between the two. The NFL's odds favor Baltimore by -7 points. Baltimore (8-3) remains tied with division rival Pittsburgh atop the division, helped by a 16-6 Thanksgiving Day win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Turkey Day affair was the first time in the history of the NFL that two brothers (Jim and John Harbaugh) had opposed each other as head coaches. The Ravens, deadlocked at 6-6 entering the fourth-quarter, used some clutch passing by QB Joe Flacco along with some tough running by RB Ray Rice to take charge in the final period in snapping the 49ers eight game winning streak. Flacco, as he's been doing recently, turned in a very efficient, workmanlike performance, going 15 for 23 for 161 yards, including the game-clinching TD pass to Dennis Pitta on the first play of the fourth-quarter. Rice gained only 59 yards against the 'Niners run defense, the top-ranked in the league, but he kept the chains moving, especially late when San Francisco desperately needed the football. WR Anquan Boldin grabbed 4 passes for 63 yards, while the offensive line provided Flacco with plenty of protection. Perhaps all the buzz about the 49ers defense motivated the Ravens defenders, since they recorded a season-high 9 sacks against San Francisco's Alex Smith. Terrell Suggs was a beast, racking up 3 sacks, while DTs Corey Redding, with 2 1/2, and Haloti Ngata with 2, were in Smith's grill practically all evening. CB Lardarius Webb contributed with an interception, while the run defense held Frank Gore (39 yards, 14 carries) in check. An impressive performance indeed, and what's even more impressive is that All-Pro LB Ray Lewis was a sideline observer, held out due to a foot injury. Lewis, as of Tuesday, was listed as probable for the Browns this Sunday. The Browns added to their season-long list of ways to lose a close game this past Sunday, falling to division rival and in-state foe Cincinnati, 23-20, despite leading for most of the game. A defensive breakdown late in the fourth-quarter allowed Bengals WR A.J. Green to pick up 51 yards on a critical third-down play, setting up the game-winning field goal for Cincinnati. The defensive lapse was even more frustrating since Cleveland has the league's top-ranked pass defense. QB Colt McCoy had 2 TD passes among his 151 yards on 16 of 34 attempts, while the game saw the return of RB Peyton Hillis for the first time in six weeks due to a hamstring injury. Hillis finished with 65 yards on 19 carries, helping the offense to top 20 points for just the second time in 2011. Greg Little and Jordan Norwood were the recipients of McCoy's scoring tosses, but Little also dropped several catchable balls, including a costly one in the fourth-quarter. Cleveland's pass rush got to Bengals QB Andy Dalton twice, but they allowed A.J. Green, greatly benefiting from his game-changing 51-yarder, to surpass 100 yards receiving, the first individual opponent to eclipse the century mark against them all season. The Browns' run defense was also a bit porous, surrendering 132 yards to the Bengals. Baltimore cannot afford any more let-ups against "lesser" opponents, such as their still unexplainable "no-shows" against Jacksonville (12-7 loss) and Seattle (22-17 defeat). Flacco appears to have put his early season mental mistakes behind, and the defense is always formidable. Their remaining schedule is friendly, with only a season-ending trip to Cincinnati appearing to be a struggle. They host winless Indianapolis next Sunday. The Browns, on the other hand, have two games with the Steelers (the first one next Sunday), along with road games at Arizona and Baltimore. Baltimore have been prone for the letdown and with a home divisional dog, this game sets up for a perfect play on the Browns.

In another AFC North matchup, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Cleveland Browns. This has been a down year for the Browns but a win against the Ravens would help show promise for the future.
