NFL Week 14 New Orleans vs. Tennessee
NFL Week 14 New Orleans vs. Tennessee The Tennessee Titans have to stay in the playoff race by beating the New Orleans Saints this week, but that won’t be easy.
The latest odds for this game and all of the other exciting games in week 14 in the NFL can be found at the top rated sportsbook, Bet Phoenix.

The New Orleans Saints will take on the Tennessee Titans this Sunday in Nashville. This will be a big game for both franchises as both are looking to keep pace in their division. In the AFC South, the Titans are chasing Houston for a divisional title while the Saints are looking to lock up another division title and the right to a bye in the first round.

The Saints are coming into this game riding a winning streak thanks to the play of Drew Brees. He is absolutely tearing up the league right now, and threw for another 300 yards against the Detroit Lions on Sunday night. Brees is the fastest to reach 4000 passing yards in a season after doing so in just 12 games. He is one of many quarterbacks who could break Marino's passing record.

Running back Chris Johnson has had a nice little revival of late. He rushed for 140+ yards and a touchdown against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. That was on the heels of a 190 yard performance the week before that. It appears that his post-contract hangover has finally gone away. It comes at a welcome time for Johnson and his fantasy owners.

The key to winning the game for the Titans will be a combination of solid play from the running back position and the quarterback. Matt Hasselbeck hasn't been really bad this year, but he hasn't had the tools around him to really go deep with the ball. His best receiver, Kenny Britt, was injured earlier in the season. Due to this injury, he has had to rely on guys like Nate Washington to pass the ball.

The Saints are most likely going to come out throwing the ball. Drew Brees is a great passer, but having targets like Jimmy Graham certainly doesn't hurt either. The tight end has been one of the most productive pass catchers in the league, and has been a huge asset in the redzone. It wouldn't be shocking if he developed into the next Antonio Gates or Tony Gonzalez.

Don't forget about Darren Sproles. He is a small guy, but a speedy guy who can turn a small gain into a long touchdown in just a second or two. The Chargers are shooting themselves for letting him go, and the Saints found a really nice replacement for Reggie Bush.

The weather might be a factor in this game. Yes, it is in the south, but you never know how the weather can act up on a given day. The Titans are probably hoping for a lot of wind or rain to come through the area, even though the forecast does call for it to be sunny on Sunday.

After the Saints and Titans play, where do they go from here, and how much will this game effect their playoff chances?

Tennessee is going to Indianapolis to take on the Colts in an AFC South showdown. This game usually means a lot more to both teams, but the Colts being winless this year puts a little less meaning into the game, but a loss would still be crucial.

The Saints are going to Minnesota to take on the struggling Vikings in a game that should at least feature a decent QB battle, if not a victory by the Vikings.

The Saints are currently a 5.5 point favorite to beat the Titans this weekend and that number may be a little too high based on the recent play of the Saints as a inflation motivator. The Titans are not a bad home team and can win this game.
