Packers win 44-37 in Arizona

The Geen Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers and the first-team offense had an impressive first half abainst the Cardinals in Glendale.They scored 4 touchdowns and a field goal in the first six possessions. Rodgers threw for 258 yards and 3 TDs to give the Packers a 28 points lead at halftime. “That’s about as good as we can play on offense”said Rodgers,the Packers #1 offense has nine TDs and a field goal in 3 games and is yet to punt. Rodgers finished with 14 of 19 for the night,improving to 28 of 37 and 458 yards for the preseason,6 touchdowns and 0 interceptions.Who needs Brett Favre? Green Bay CB Charles Woodson had 2 sacks and forced 3 fumbles,one by Cardinals QB Kurt Warner that was returned for a TD.The first-team defense has 12 takeaways so far,no wonder that the Packers are 3-0 in the preseason. Arizona’s coach Ken Whisenhunt was very upset “It’s embarrassing what that team did to us in the first half...” “Mybe this is a wakeup call for our guys.”

Arizona backup QB Matt Leinart almost brought the Cardinals back in the second half against Green Bay’s reserves throwing for 360 yards and 3 TDs.Kurt warner went 10 of 16 for 139 yards,one interception and one lost fumble,the starter QB doesn’t have a TD pass in the preseason games.The Cardinals are 0-3.
